Unfiltered Story #363804
(I have social anxiety and it’s pretty obvious by my nervous demeanor. Recently 2 female coworkers invite me over to hang out. I’m nervous but finally agree, figuring it won’t be so bad and it’s a good way to socialize. The friendly coworker makes us drinks, and her husband pops in a horror movie and dims the lights. I hate horror movies, but hope again that it won’t be so bad. Plus I don’t want to seem like a wimp, as I’ve been made fun of before. Wrong. There’s a very disturbing scene where this crazy man pulls out his own teeth with pliers, and then he stabs his therapist viciously with a long knife. It is very realistic and I’m sitting there with a horrified expression but the others seem to find the violence funny. They finish laughing at the movie, then laugh at me for not laughing and the husband joins in. They invited me over again but I politely declined, and they can’t imagine why.)
