My best friend just attempted suicide. I was naturally devastated, even more so because she contacted me as she did it and I couldn’t stop her. Our mutual friend came to me and asked “Why’d you call me 13 times last night?” (The day after). What is amazing about her is she didn’t judge as I told her what happened (I was sobbing) and she has been my biggest supporter as I’m trying to reach my suicidal friend. She is in a psychiatric hospital right now and it has been about 2 1/2 weeks since the attempt. Without the mutual friend I probably would have had an emotional breakdown and not recovered for quite some time. She is truly a blessing.
