I work in IT. I am sitting at a stop light 10 minutes away from work. I get three text messages, 30 seconds apart. “911”. Fearing a falling sky, I enter the building and go straight to the desk of the damsel in distress.

No Good Morning. No Hello.
Just an angry “My light won’t go on. My monitor won’t go on.
My computer won’t go on. My fan won’t go on”.

I walk over an press the orange “ON” button on the power strip.
Everything springs to life.

“Well I never turn it off there!” she says with a snarl.
“Well apparently you did.”, I said, turning to walk away.
