(In orchestra we once had a ‘leaderboard’ for who practiced the most etc, and one Student 1 is absolutely ahead of everyone for the whole month until the last day.)

Teacher: “Anyone need anything before we start?”
Student 1: “Me…I’ve been having problems all week. As soon as I started practicing, my E string decided it’d rather be a C-sharp string, and keeps slipping all the time, so I can’t play on it!”
Student 2: “Wait, does that mean we might get to overtake you on practice minutes?”
Student 1: “Get out, I still practiced, just in a ridiculous position, or a fifth lower!”
Teacher: “Didn’t that get annoying after a while?”
Student 1: “After about 900 minutes, yeah.”
