Unfiltered Story #361687

(I’m in my Geography class, sat (not by choice) next to a girl who is a known troublemaker, while I am normally quiet, like to get on with my work. I will rarely stick up for myself since I have been bullied for 5 years at this point and would rather just avoid the attention. During one of her trouble-making outbursts, she playfully jabs me with a pencil making me yelp more from surprise rather than pain. The teacher looks up at the commotion before writing “*her name*- C3” (3 cautionaries = detention) and “*my name*- C3” on the board.)

Me: “Sir, why do I have 3 cautionaries? I haven’t done anything to earn one!”

Him: “You were aiding and abetting her!”

Me: “I was just sitting here!”
Her at the same time: “…I stabbed her with a pencil! How is that aiding and abetting?! Would you say someone was aiding and abetting if they got stabbed in the street?”

Me: “Even if I did do something that would be my first cautionary, you just skipped two!”

Him: “Arguing back is going to be C4! Do you want to try for TWO detentions?!”

Me: “Well I’m not going to do one for something I haven’t done so good luck with that!”

(After that she was much better behaved seeing how her behaviour unfairly affected others and I learned to stick up for myself more…shame it was a power-mad teacher but a bully is a bully whether they’re an adult or a child.)
