Unfiltered Story #361676

My parents recently moved into a gated community in Arizona, the houses are sort of cookie cutters but nice in their own way. All houses have a sub driveway made of dirt on the side of their house connecting with the paved driveway, it’s meant for trailers and extra cars. My dad is a mechanic, he is hauling my moms recently obtained car from her dads passing. Since the truck and the trailer it’s hauling is so long he parks it in front of his own driveway so it wouldn’t stick out in the street.

About a half hour later the police come knocking on the door. The officer sighs and says the neighbor is complaining that the trailer is blocking 2 inches of the neighbors sub driveway that she DOESN’T use. The officer asks if the neighbor asked them to move the trailer, she did not. He sighs even louder.

Officer: “I’m sorry but I’m going to ask you to move the trailer, even if it’s just two inches.”
Mom: “Ok that’s fine, I’m sorry came all the way out here.”
Officer: “She did this to the last family that lived here, no worries, she’s just like this.”

My parents move the trailer, and honestly you wouldn’t be able to tell if it crossed the property line unless you were up close and measuring it with a ruler. My mom decides to go over to the neighbor to let her know she can just talk to them instead of calling the police. Apparently according to everyone else in the neighborhood she regularly calls the police on everyone in the block for very petty reasons like using a leaf blower in the middle of the day to dogs barking.
