My friend and I are walking to class, when we walk into an event that’s going on. We plan to walk past, but out of nowhere a pushy event leader comes up to us. They are giving out stickers to support an environmental cause.

Event Leader: Here! (Puts sticker on me before I can react) Wear this and spread awareness.

Me: Uh…

She then turns to put one on my friend.

Friend: No thanks, I don’t want one.

She tries to walk past but the event Leader is insistent.

Event Leader: Its free.
Friend: I don’t want one.
Event Leader: Take the sticker.
Friend: I DONT want one.

I’m left standing in shock as I watch this grown woman try to corner my friend and force her to wear the sticker. Before I can react, my friend explodes.

FRIEND: I DONT WANT A STICKER! I DONT WANT IT!

She then takes off up the stairs towards our class. I know it may seem like a ‘dude it was just a sticker’ moment, but my friend knew that stickers fall off and contribute to waste, so she didn’t want one. Plus, you put my friend or anyone in a cornering situation and they would probably react the same way.
