(I’m at my cousin’s house for Thanksgiving and her new dog is eyeing the food on the table, but not jumping on it.)

Me: “Wow, your new dog is so tame! How did you get her to not jump on the food?”

Cousin: “She knows not to…” *dark look* “Or she’ll be in very big trouble!”

(Figuring I could train a dog, I get one for myself soon after that. Big mistake! I tried everything but he ended up destroying anyway. I tried to ask my cousin how she did it, but she wouldn’t tell me. Oh well.)
