I am a student worker at one of the on-campus dining areas at Rochester Institute of Technology. I am working the pasta shift one night; I haven’t been working pasta very long, and am inexperienced with that station. I am trying to make a pasta toss by flipping the ingredients in a pan, but I am not flipping it hard enough. Eventually, my boss sees me struggling and comes over to show me the proper motion.

Boss: (flips the pan) See? Just like stabbing a hooker!
Me: Wait, WHAT?!
