Unfiltered Story #360738
I had just started a new job and noticed that there was a lot of eye rolling whenever anyone discussed our manager. It was also implied that she never takes the blame for anything and will twist it back on someone else.
I found that work that I had completed had not been scheduled in, due to a mix-up that meant we had to swap jobs around. Without it being scheduled means that I can’t report on it or get paid for it. I’ve sent messages to my team leader who contacts head office and has been told that it will be going through as soon as they get the approval.
It gets later and later so I message my manager about it.
Manager “It’s there, you are not looking in the right place. You have to look in (section) or (other section)”
I start seeing red, as I had been looking in both sections as it’s the only way to find scheduled work so I take screen shot to prove I am looking in the right section and send it back to her.
Manager “oh, (Department) hasn’t sent an email to me yet to tell me it’s been completed. You need to wait til tomorrow for me to chase it up.”
I mention it to my team leader the next day.
Team Leader “Oh that’s funny because I got the message back from (department) that everything had been sent to (Manager) for her approval, it can’t be changed until she approves it. They sent it yesterday morning and again yesterday afternoon when I called them.”
It finally came through and I was able to make my report.
