Unfiltered Story #360642
(My brother does things some might find feminine like cooking, sewing and wearing pink. His best friend has never had a relationship last more than 2 months. My brother married his girlfriend of 5 years.I’m chatting with his best friend after the wedding.)
Brother’s friend:I don’t get it.What does he have that I don’t?
Me:Enough confidence in his own masculinity to not act like a jackass?
Brother’s friend:When did I ever act like a jackass?
Me:Well you refused to let your last girlfriend to assemble her new bike, insisting you should do it because you’re a man and she ended up doing twice the work fixing your mistake.
Brother’s friend:I wanted to be nice.
Me:Grabbing the wrench from her hand and pushing her to the side isn’t what I’d call nice.
Brother’s friend:How was I supposed to know she was good at it?
Me:Ask?Pay attention when she told you she works at a bike shop and has a bachelor of engineering?
Brother’s friend:Guess I should get in touch with my feminine side like [my brother].
Me:Knowing how to sew and cook isn’t necessarily a feminine thing. They’re basic survival skills if you ask me and no offense but your definition of masculine and feminine is pretty cartoony.
