(I just recently started a new job. I share an office and work closely with a co-worker who I worked with before at a different company. I think our familiarity might have skewed her perception of how long I have been at my new job.)
Coworker #1: “Hey [my name], Coworker #2 needs the minutes from [meeting that took place almost a month ago]. Did you ever send them to him?”
Me: “No, Coworker #1, I didn’t.”
Coworker #1: “Why not?!”
Me: “Because I started here less than two weeks ago, and wasn’t in charge of those minutes?”
Coworker #1: “Oh, yeah. I forgot.”
(I’m not sure how she forgot that I just started, considering that she’s still in the process of introducing me to people!)
