Unfiltered Story #353540
My parents are driving to a doctor’s appointment. I’m 19 and trans, but not out to my parents
Me: Hey, um… Mom, Dad?
Mom: Yes, [old name]?
Me: I have something I need to tell you. I’m trans. I’m a girl, not a guy.
Both parents pause for a second.
Mom: Okay? This isn’t really news to us.
Me: Wait, what?
Dad: You know, I always thought it would be your older brother that’d come out.
