Unfiltered Story #352813
My 92 year old grandmother is returning to the care home she lives in after having had a very risky surgery to repair her fractured hip. My aunt, her daughter is with her in the back of the ambulance. My grandmother has dementia, but is not really that bad yet, but sometimes it shows.
They’re driving through springtime Amsterdam and my aunt encourages my grandmother to look outside so she won’t feel lost. At one point they’re driving past a square with blossoming trees that my grandmother recognises.
Grandmother; Oooooh, [square], so so we’re there now! And the trees are blossoming too… but they don’t really look all that pretty…
Aunt: Yes, mom, that’s right. But you gotta keep in mind… the windows of the ambulance are coloured… that’s not the actual colour.
