Unfiltered Story #351282

When i was in middle school i was very lonely. I had about one friend (no joke) but had no classes with him. I am a female so that already was a subject of ridicule. Now i loved to learn so I was frequently called a nerd and teased. My teachers started to take notice and some of them helped me. My science teacher let me choose my seat, my math teacher would let me wear earbuds, and my language arts teacher let me run the class a few time (as it was my best subject). The only problem was my history teacher who was cruel and favored all the kids that would shove and belittle me. One day when i was having a particularly bad day i go to her class and the following exchange happens;

Teacher: where is your essay?

Me: *confused* i handed it in two days ago

Teacher: OH right, you’re a little overachiever aren’t you?

*cue laughs from the other student, there is about 19 other students all listening to this conversation*

Me: I wanted to finish it early so i could hang out with my friend over the weekend

Teacher: But you don’t have any friends

(I am shocked that my teacher would say this)
*teacher turns to other students*

Teacher: Am i right? (my name) doesn’t have any friends?

everyone started laughing and agreeing one student even going so far to say

other student: why would anyone want to be friends with her?

i got up and i marched out of that classroom without saying another word
