Its the Friday before the biggest football event of the year. Our local forecast has mentioned the possibility of snow the following week. My husband and I go to our nearby chain grocery store to get some last minute items. Two stock clerks are busily restocking the chip isle.
Stocker 1: We sure are selling a lot of chips today. Is there something going on I should know about?
Stocker 2 : Maybe it’s because of the snow next week?
Husband: Or it could be because of [big game] on Sunday.
The two stock clerks stare at each other in surprise: OH!
Me (as we are walking away): Have they not seen that huge [big game] beer display at the front of the store?
