(My mother has a habit of not thinking before she speaks. Sometimes it’s a problem. Sometimes it’s hilarious. This is one of the hilarious times.

Hostess has just come out with a new product that’s a cross between a Twinkie and a Ding Dong. I wasn’t aware of this until Mom brought a box home to try. She shows it to me.)

Mom: It’s like if a Twinkie and a Ding Dong had a baby.

Me (grinning): I love the way you phrase things.
