Unfiltered Story #343318

At our store we have a lot of loyal customers that we have gotten to know. Some of them I think come just to bug us so we bug back. My one coworker and I are known troublemakers we will call her T for trouble. This one day I’m working the customer service desk and she is at a normal till closer to the doors. One of our regulars come in we will call him Bob. Now Bob was in earlier giving me a hard time as usual but this time he goes to Ts till.
“hi Bob” I shout over to him.
The customer I’m serving looks over “oh Bob I know him HI BOB”
Bob shouts hi back. She moves over when we are done to talk with him.
I start talking to the 3 other ladies I have in line telling them he’s a regular and I think he comes in to bug us. One of them voices how they love how we joke and and interact with our customers.
We are talking when I notice Bob leaving.
“BYE BOB”
T “Bye Bob”
Lady 1 “BYE BOB”
Lady 2 “BYE BOB”
Lady 3 “BYE BOB”
Bob “BYE”
Not even 10 minutes later I notice a woman who is also a regular look like she’s trying to hide behind the shelving “HI TOM” (while her name isn’t Tom she does have a mans name)
T “HI TOM”
All the customers are looking around trying to find Tom assuming she’s a man.
Tom “why is it everytime I come in here I feel like hiding”
T “because we love you”
Me “with alllllll our hearts”
Tom “you are lucky I love you back but you guys are still nuts”
Me “oh you think this is bad should have been here 10 minutes ago we were….”
Tom “shouting bye to Bob I heard that at the other side of the store but it sounded like more than 2 of you”
T “oh she corrupted poor customers into shouting at him”
Tom “why am I not surprised to hear that”
Me “hey how many times do I have to tell you guys I’m an angel just because my halo is held up by my horns doesn’t make me less of an angel”
Man I’m serving asks for some smokes
Me “we are out on the floor let me check the side room”
Man “hiding them with your pitch fork?”
T “probably”
I go to the side room grab them and come back
Me “actually they were next to T vehicle”
Tom “oh she rode her broom to work today ”
While I almost double over in laughter Tom tells the others how she loves to shop here and the others agree if you can’t have some fun at work no point being here. We go on talking and laughing until Tom leaves with everyone at till yell bye.
For the record I love my job mostly because of the customers!
