(This is between my mom and a worker at the bakery a local chain grocery store. We are have some company over the next day so she went to go get some rolls)
Worker: is there anything I can help you with?
Mom: I’m just looking to see if there are any cheaper roll. $8.00 is expensive.
Worker: Oh yes, I remember the days when I was a single mom and money was tight.

(It took all my mom could to not laugh. My parents have been married for over 20 years. My dad makes over a hundred thousand dollars a year. My mom still bought the rolls)
