(My family is extremely bigoted about LGBT. They’re are extremely religious, and don’t know that I’m actually bi. I haven’t told them because it’s none of their, or anyone’s, business. Anyway, we are sitting in the living room and watching TV, when my brother picks out a DVD from my sister’s collection.)

Me: “What’re you putting in?”

Brother: “Modern Family.”

(I’m surprised, since I heard this sitcom has a gay couple in it.)

Me: *casually* “Isn’t this the one with the gay couple?”

Sister: “Yeah. Ew.”

Me: “Then why did you buy the first season.”

Brother: ” ‘Cause it’s hilarious! Watch it!”

(So we watch, and yes, it is hilarious! We were all laughing our heads off. Maybe there’s hope for them yet!)
