My brother in law is living with my parents as a free-loading leech, he and my sister live in their own section of the house. It’s my Dad’s birthday and I have bought him a cake, my younger brother is also there.

Brother “Mmm cake, I want cake. Cake, Cake, Cake.”

Dad “okay you can have cake” * he goes into the kitchen to get the cake. I follow him in and realise that Brother in law has beat us into the kitchen from the other end of the house.

Brother in law “Cake? Where’s the cake?”

After Dad cuts the cake, he grabs the first piece and scoffs it down.

Me *later to Dad “What the hell?”

Dad “Yeah I know, he’s got ears like an elephant. We can’t have any sort of conversation without him running out here. Any mention of food and he’s out here like a shot”.
