(In the first week of the semester, all the engineering module leaders send the students a schedule, showing what days they are due for lab sessions, along with a note telling us to email if we need to be moved to a different group for some of them. It’s been poorly coordinated and more than half the students have two labs scheduled at the same time. Upon being bombarded with emails, the university sent us this message.)
Lecturers: Due to the very high number of requests to switch groups, we are unable to process all of them. Instead, we have decided everyone must simply come to the labs currently on your timetable.
(They were then bombarded with emails pointing out that what they were saying would be physically impossible. They re wrote the schedule in the end.)
