(My mom is a preschool teacher, and I sometimes go in and sub if they need me. Whenever I go in, Mom makes sure to tell the kids that I’m her daughter. This happened one afternoon when I was subbing for a teacher.)
Student: Do you know Ms. (Mom)?
Me: Yes I do.
Student: Is she your mom?
Me: Yes, Ms. (Mom) is my mom.
Student: So you’re her daughter?
Me: Yes, I am.
Student: Are you joking?
