Unfiltered Story #342643
I am the author of the original It’s Hard Work When You’re Hardly Working and it involves the now former friend of that story. It all started when former friend came to school sick and turned and literally sneezed in my face (no she did not apologize for it) causing me to get sick for several days of which do to various factors I lost a good amount of weight, though not very important former friend was slightly overweight, and was always extremely offended if it was even mentioned in passing. The backstory set up, this was the first day once I could go back to school, where myself, a few other friends and former friend(who was sitting at the table reading) talking over lunch.
Friend1: Well it’s good to see you are better, it was weird with you not here.
Me: I am glad to be back.
Friend2: Yeah, it sucks to be sick, I only had to miss a day.
Me: Well, we aren’t that backed up, but being sick really sucked.
Friend3: Why is that?
Me: I lost fourteen pounds in three days, for I couldn’t eat or sleep.
Friend2: whoa.
Friend1: dang…
Friend3: You alri-
Former friend: *looks up from her book* You should stop bragging, you are already anorexic, you shouldn’t be proud of that.
(For one I have never been anorexic, and I am of pretty average weight, but needless to say I was shocked by what she said. It also surprised everyone else at our table and the surrounding tables that heard her.)
Friend3: what the hell.
Friend2: SERIOUSLY?!
Friend1: …
me: *thinking maybe she just didn’t hear most of the story.* I am…not bragging, I didn’t want to lose 14 pounds, I lost it for I was sick and couldn’t eat or sleep.
Former friend: Yeah, whatever…You are anorexic anyway.
She was surprised when everyone at the table got up and left and wouldn’t talk to her for a week, I would like to say this was an isolated incident, but similar things happened such as when some of our friends were having a baby which she called a parasite, but the one her aunt was having was a gift from god, or when I got new glasses, where she told everyone non stop about how cool her new ones were for several months, and when I just simply said I got new glasses she responded with “No one cares.” Her behavior is why when most of us graduated she no longer had any friends.
