Unfiltered Story #342566

, , | Unfiltered | September 4, 2024

The year is 2015 and it’s my first time traveling outside of the United States. I’ve just taken my first vacation ever, and decided to go to a convention for a well known cartoon about magical horses.
Note that I’m a young woman in my early twenties during this story, with brightly dyed rainbow hair, but who is otherwise very much a tomboy. My friend and I are in the mall the day before the convention and decide to stop at a well known west coast American coffee chain.
My friend who works for this chain and I walk up to the register and order our drinks.
The register girl takes our orders, and my friend pays. She asks for his name but not mine.
Mind you, I never go to this chain of coffee shop so I don’t realize asking for a name is customary.
We get our drinks a few minutes later and I notice my drink is a size larger than I ordered. I go to point out the mistake, look at the cup, and see that the girl at the register wrote Rainbow Dash on the cup and drew a little pony doodle next to it.
As I start to giggle and point it out to my friend, the cashier comes over, grins at me, gives me a high-five, and tells me she loves my hair so she upgraded my drink size on the house.
Thank you, coffeeshop girl! You absolutely made my day!
