Unfiltered Story #342379

(My family has just ordered calamari for an appetizer, and there’s nothing on the menu that says that it’s spicy at all. So we assume that it’s not. My sister and dad love spicy food, but they decide to get it out of kindness to me and my brother. I love calamari, so I grab it and take a big bite.)

Me: *whimper* “Hot! Ow! Ow!”

Sister: “Oh, it can’t be that bad.”

Me: *chugging down my water, then my dad’s in a few seconds* “Mph!”

Sister: *takes one and outs it in her mouth* “See? It’s not spicy!” *a few minutes pass* “Ok, now it is…”

Dad: “[Brother], why don’t you try one.”

Brother: *watching me pant and moan with pain* “I’m not going near one!”

Waiter: “And is everything okay?”

Me: “I…Need more waster…please…with ice.”

Waiter: “Oh, sorry, I should’ve mentioned they were spicy.”

(He gets me more water snd I drink until I don’t want to rip out my tongue again. Dad, the waiter, and my brother were amused, but we were not. I always ask since then.)
