A customer calls to complain about her neighbours, who is renting one of our appartments. They are playing a racist song all day long. I ask the lady which song, because more often than not, it’s overreacting in cases like this.

The woman sings the song. It’s an annoying kid’s song, but the lyrics have been changed and they are indeed quite racist.

I take the lady’s complaint and add it to the ever growing complaintfile about the neighbours (complain issues are not easy to fix because of laws).

And I now have that song stuck in my head. I managed to change the earworm to the original annoying kid’s song, but I just can’t get rid of it (and I feel terrible about it)!
