Unfiltered Story #339087
So I’m in central Manchester at around 10PM making my way back to the train station from a late-shift at work.
I’ve walked this route dozens of times before and even though it’s not the best part of the city and goes through some rough alleys, it’s only a street or two off the high-street and between that and the fact nothing had ever happened before I figured it was pretty safe.
So naturally this is the part where somebody tries to mug me.
Some guy in a hoodie had been sat on a corner with several friends and stands up to approach me. He tries to grab me by the shoulder and yells at me to stop, but I shrug him off, call him an a***hole, and hurry on. He tried to approach me from the side so he was already behind me after I broke his grip and I got away pretty easily, he didn’t even really try to follow.
But as I’m leaving, one of his buddies punches him in the shoulder and says :
“No, no, no, idiot. You need to get in FRONT of them.”
