Unfiltered Story #338939
(I just got hired, and am called to orientation with other new hires. They seat us in tables and make us do paperwork, and I’m seated next to a guy who looks 19. He has a constant sneer stretched over his face and is doodling all over his paper while the manager gives her speech.)
Manager: “I want to say how much I am happy to have you all here–”
Guy: *scoffs loudly*
Manager: “I know that if we all work together and get along we can make this place successful!”
Guy: “Ha, yeah right!”
(The other new hires and I exchange looks, but the manager seems to ignore him, so we do too. Needless to say, it made us extremely uneasy and uncomfortable. The guy continued his negative exclamations and I felt bad for accepting this job. Obviously they aren’t good managers if they hired such a weird guy! So I accepted another better job, having bad mojo from that one. Most likely the guy would’ve acted up and the manager would ignore it on the job. Maybe he was her son?)
