(I am a junior taking a semester-long photography class. Most of the other students are freshmen. Pictures from previous years line the walls, as do posters about the history of digital photography. While writing a heading for a paper, I hear this a couple rows behind me.)

Student: “How do you spell ‘Photography’?”

(I felt my hope in humanity die a little that day. To add insult to injury, there was a large poster with

“Photography” in large bold print.
