Unfiltered Story #32325

(I work in the school library, and started to date a teacher. This story happened early days, before we’d told anyone at all we were seeing each other. My now step-daughter attends the same school and needs a permission slip signed.)

Partner’s daughter: “Is Miss [Partner] back from her meeting yet?”

Me: “I don’t know.”

Partner’s daughter: “What time is she getting back?”

Me: “I don’t know. Why are you asking me?”

Partner’s daughter: “Because you…*know*…these things.”

Me: …

Partner’s daughter: “Is it cool if I wait with you? She’ll definitely come in here before going up to her office.”

(Within ten minutes, my partner shows up in the library, still with her outdoor coat and bag…she’d come straight from her meeting…)
