(I’m in fifth grade, giving a report on Robert E. Lee. I’m very proud of the paper cutout I did and spent a very long time preparing my speech. The teacher in this case really dislikes me.)
Me: So, after-!
Teacher: Did you do this by yourself?
Me: Wait, what?
Teacher: The paper cutout on your trifold. Did you do this by yourself?
Me: W-well, I mean, my mom helped me with the hands. But other than that, yeah!
Teacher: Okay. You can keep going.
