Unfiltered Story #314712
My dad ended up getting the rona from one of his students. Luckily it was one of the weaker variants so he ended up originally thinking it was strep. My mom calls to tell me the news that they are quarantining.
Me: “Well, Dad’s obvious gross. You should stay away from him.”
Mom: “I have been trying! But he keeps invading my personal space. He tried to KISS me either. I am also annoyed because be broke our streak of being the only [Last Name] household not to get it.”
Me: “Well, I have been telling you for years not to go hiking with him because he has been trying to kill you. This is just a new ploy.”
Dad: *interjecting in the background* “I can hear you!”
Me: “Good! Stay away from my mother, fiend!”
Mom: “You hear that? Stop trying to hug me!” *to me, jokingly* “For once I get more attention than the dog.”
Me: “That is because he doesn’t want to give her covid. You are fair game.”
Mom: “I will sleep with one eye open!”
Me: “You mean you weren’t before?!”
Both of them are fine. All of my friends asked about her more than him though. She got a laugh at me telling them she was doing terribly because my dad kept trying to hug her. Dad was slightly less amused and very hug deprived.
