Unfiltered Story #314530

Back when my husband and I first started dating we were living in different cities, so when I was visiting relatives close to where he lived, we took the opportunity to meet up. It was still a bit of a way to go for him, but we really wanted to meet and I couldn’t go away from the family for too long.

After a nice time at a cafe, I felt that strong feeling that I did not want him to leave, so I offered he could come with me and have dinner, but warned him my father would be there, as well as my aunt, her husband and their two children who were still living at home. He was unsure if he was ready to meet the family, but I assured him they were a welcoming bunch.

Little did I know that both my grandfather and his girlfriend, my uncle and wife and my eldest cousin had decided to come by that night. Not only that, family friends where there as well. Suffice to say he was shocked.

He still tells this story of how I tricked him and threw him into the fire, of course in his mind I did it on purpose, perhaps because I found the whole thing hilarious.
