Caller: Hi, I have a patient who has asked me to sign a form saying that theres no medical reason she can’t go sky diving. However she has a severe history of depression and honestly, I’m a bit worried that she wouldn’t open the parachute.

Me: Well I can’t advise you on clinical matters but I can confirm that you don’t have to sign off on forms like this if you’re not comfortable.

Caller: Oh, I know. I just wanted to check if I could refer her to someone who will.
