Unfiltered Story #299821
I am notorious for being completely oblivious flirting. I like to say I wouldn’t recognize flirting if it smacked me upside the head and asked for my number. I’m talking with some friends online about the first time I met one of them. We’re both girls who like girls.
Friend: “I was flirting with you so hard!”
Me: “Wait, you were flirting?!”
Friend: “Yeah! Remember, I shared my earbuds so we could watch [my favorite show] together for forty-five minutes until class let out?”
Me: “I thought you were just being nice! I was just happy to find someone else interested in [show]!”
Looking back on the number of times she called me cute and how defensive she got when a guy asked me to a dance, I probably should’ve recognized the flirting way sooner, though she was still super supportive when I was in a relationship with my first girlfriend!
