My partner and I have a mortgage with one of the largest German banks who had told us we could contact them via phone or email. I had a question about one aspect of the mortgage and as my spoken German is not so strong, I decided to email them instead. I composed the email and sent it via a form on their website. Two weeks later, an envelope from the bank arrived in my letter box. I opened it and found contained only an acknowledgement of receipt of my email. The answer came a week or so later – via email.
