Unfiltered Story #299113

I am a manager at a fast food restaurant. My coworker is talking to a customer at the drive thru window. We call her Crazy Napkin Lady.
Coworker: Ok ma’am, here’s your food.
CNL: That’s not enough napkins! I need more napkins!
Coworker: Oh, I’m sorry. I put some extra at the bottom of the bag, but-
My coworker reaches to grab more napkins for her.
CNL: Is this how you are trained?? To refuse napkins for your guests? I need MORE!!!
My coworker shakily hands her more napkins, but she continues her tirade about rude customer service.
I approach the window, about to intervene. Another manager starts looking that way too, hearing the lady yell across the store.
CNL stops and seems to notice everyone staring at her.
CNL: Oh, I’m sorry, we are just worried about our mom and took it out on you. We are good now.
She drives off before I can confront her.
I understand that people have things going on in their personal lives, but that’s NO REASON to berate and attack my employees.
