Unfiltered Story #298974

I have a coworker who likes to bully and push me around. The way she goes about it is petty and childish and only makes herself look bad. Think having me search through my emails for conversations she had exclusively with third parties, send “fresh copies” of files because she is allergic to looking at any email that isn’t the very first email, repeatedly asking me to search for items that are clearly on my desk, etc. Small things that stack up and get annoying after awhile because she wants to feel “large and in charge” and managing ~someone~.

We have an all-staff training today that she insists on having. We don’t need to have it on this day, but she is adamant about it. Well, because she is a bully, she manages to induce our trainer into having a panic attack so he has to cancel an hour before the training.

Rather than being a normal, intelligent person she decides to text me to text everyone else. She has everyone’s number. We even have a group chat set up. She is just that unreasonable and much of a jerk.

At 1:11 PM – “[Trainer] is cancelling. I need you to convey this to everyone else.”

At 1:12 PM, my coworker comes in and tells me that I have “an urgent text message” from this woman. She never bothers to say what it is to him. Just to check my phone because it is “urgent”.

So at 1:14 PM, I copy her text message and put it in the group chat. Viola! Easy as pie. At least she thanked me for her asinine request this time?

And for those thinking the best of her and wonder if she is trying to groom me into being a manager, that is not the case. She just doesn’t want to be perceived as the bad guy who inconveniences anyone (unless it is me) at any time for the most asinine thing. Sigh.
