Back in the 90’s, swimming lessons are part of Dutch ground school. Since the swimming pool is in another part of town, we are taken there by bus. This is how the driver introduces himself to us on the first day:

Driver: ‘Hi, children! My name is uncle [driver] and I am driving you to the swimming pool twice a week! Now, a few rules. When the bus is moving, we all sit down, obviously. And let’s also agree, that when we’re almost there, you still keep seated. Because I might have to break suddenly, so then you would be flying through the air and land on my lap and of course, that’s not supposed to happen!’

We all had a good laugh. I still remember the joke. Apparently, it was the best way to have such a rule stick in my mind as a child.
