Unfiltered Story #293752
I am training a new receptionist at the mental health clinic where I work. We use a program that is unique to our company that lets us schedule clients, look at their electronic chart, see notes from their past sessions, etc. Reception needs to see certain data points, like past visit dates, to help with scheduling. For some reason, the new receptionist does not have access to those needed data points, so she contacts tech support. Rather than allowing her to have access to that section of the program, the tech support person asks her why. She asks me for help outlining everything we use those data points to do, and together we write a reply to his email. He replies that he has given the new receptionist access, but still doesn’t understand why she needs access!
