Years ago I organized a vacation package for a family to a rodent themed amusement park in Orlando — flights, connecting rooms, park passes and ground transportation. There was a mom and dad and two children under 12 coming from North Carolina and grandparents from Arkansas. I worked with the dad (who called me toll free) to make sure everyone arrived at Orlando and left at around the same time. The day they were supposed to go home, I got a furious call from him, saying his wife had tried to get her parents a later flight home by calling directly to the airline. She hadn’t noticed until after the call ended that she was changing her children’s tickets instead of her parents’, and had now locked herself sobbing in the bathroom and I NEEDED TO FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY. It took a while, but I got the parents on the same flight with the kids and she left the bathroom.
