Unfiltered Story #290441

(I’m having dinner with my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day. I feel my phone vibrating in my pocket and it’s a call from a friend of mine. This friend is a good guy but has some of the worst social skills and situational awareness I’ve ever seen. Since I’m at dinner, I decline the call. My friend immediately calls me again. I decline the call again. He calls me for a third time. I’m concerned that this might be an actual emergency so I send him a quick text.)
Me: I’m at dinner. What’s up?
Friend: Hey, want to get lunch together tomorrow?
(I’m annoyed so I don’t text him back until later and go back to dinner and my girlfriend. My friend’s logic for calling me 3 times in a row like that? He thought I hadn’t heard my phone. Sigh.)
