(My mom has recently died, and my dad is talking with my older sister.)

Dad: *wistful* “Now I’m always thinking about the love of my life.”

Sister: “Aw you mean mom?”

Dad: “Huh? No. She was my cousin. ”

Sister: “Ew dad, you were married to mom for over 25 years and all that time you were pining after your own cousin?!?”

Dad: “So? It’s not illegal. ”

(It’s well known that dad cheated on our mom, and I’ve heard rumors that it’s a second cousin that he’s talking about, but still it’s creepy! Parents, there are some things you all should take to the grave. Gross!)
