Unfiltered Story #287323
Just after they had watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy, my two grandsons were playing in our driveway.
One chased a ball dangerously close to the road. I grabbed some yellow spray paint and marked a line which was a safe distance from the road.
“What’s that?”
“This is your Gandalf line. You shall not pass ”
They giggled, but it worked.
Last week – years after the above incident – we were walking to the truck, which was at the end of the driveway. My younger grandson stopped and would not move.
(You likely see where this is heading. Having forgotten the line was there, I didn’t at the time.)
“Come on, kiddo!”
He looked down and said, “May I pass?”
