Unfiltered Story #285343

, , | Unfiltered | March 4, 2023

This was in the 90s, when it was more acceptable for kids to wander unsupervised. I’m walking around town with my friend and her little sister. The sister calls me fat so I chase her down a hill and plant my fist between her shoulders – not hard, just enough to unbalance her.

Voice: “How old are you!?”

I look up to see two popular girls from my class at the top of the hill, looking angry.

Popular girl: *repeating herself* “How old are you!?”
Me: “Thirteen.”
Popular girl: “And how old is she!?”
Me: “She’s ten.”
Popular girl: “That’s abuse!”

There’s a pause, and then the three of us burst out laughing, much to the popular girls’ offense. We spent the rest of our walk yelling “that’s abuse!” at anything out of the ordinary.
