Unfiltered Story #285274
My husband and I were looking for houses to rent, the Real estate had given us a list of houses so we were driving around looking at the outside of houses to choose which one we wanted to book an interior viewing.
One house was in a very quiet area, at the end of a cul-de-sac with only a couple of houses surrounded by bushland. The house looked lovely so we got out of the car to take a look around. I walked around to the back of the house while my husband got our toddler out of the car.
Me *coming back “Nope we don’t want it, put her back in the car”
Husband “How can you make that decision so quickly? The house looks beautiful, we need to see the inside”.
Me “You should try going into the backyard first”
Husband “Why?”
Me “Because it’s on a cliff”
Husband “You are always exaggerating, I will go and look for myself” *returns a few seconds later “Maybe we don’t want this house”.
The area the back door opened onto was about just over a metre wide before it dropped away into a bushland gully, not the best place to have a toddler.
