(I am at the gym with some friends, trying out a “treadwall”, a combination treadmill and climbing wall.)
Me: *mumbling* Why’s it [the space between the handholds] getting longer now, jeez.
Friend: Did you say “full speed”?
Me: Absolutely not! *I repeat myself, clearer*
Friend: Ah, okay. *pause* Good thing I didn’t just go ahead and do it.
(I almost fell off the wall, I was laughing so hard.)
