Friend: Doesn’t this remind you of that thing?
Me: What “thing?”
Friend: You know, the THING.
Me: I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Friend: For f*** sake. THE THING! *storms off*
He literally stopped talking to me for five years because of this. We met up recently during a night out, and he was so bitter about it that he had to leave. I still don’t know what the “thing” was.
