So, I work a primarily as a bagger in my local supermarket.
Honestly, everyone was going through the motions. I had just shared a fun fact about the blue raspberry flavor. It was just the same old, same old. Just as we are reaching the end of the order, the checker scans some sort of mellon. He checks the list, then scans a few more times.
I figure no big deal, we’re almost done, no rush. The tag’s probably just wrinkled.
Turns out that wasn’t the case.

Checker: So, I’m going to have to call a manager really quick, because this melon is scanning as a rewards card.

In the end, everything was sorted out, and the customer got the points transferred onto their own card. Still wonder how the melon got registered as a rewards card.
